Here’s a bit about me: I’m a native of a small town in Northeast Texas, and I earned my Bachelor of Science in Pure Mathematics from Texas State University in 2017. After graduation, I began my teaching career in Houston, where I taught Algebra 1. Teaching was a profoundly fulfilling experience, not just for the joy of sharing knowledge but for the connections I built with my students. Creating a safe, supportive space for them was truly rewarding.

My time in the classroom revealed my deeper passion for relationship-building, which ultimately led me to pursue a career in counseling. In 2020, I started my graduate studies at the University of Houston - Victoria, where I explored various theoretical approaches and gained experience working with diverse populations, including the LGBT+ community and couples/non-monogamous relationships.

In late 2024, I took a leap of faith and opened my own practice, Good Vibes Therapy. It’s been an exciting journey, and I’m thrilled to continue helping clients in a space that truly represents my values and style. As a therapist, I’ve developed a unique approach that emphasizes positivity and connection. My practice, Good Vibes Therapy, reflects my belief in sending good energy and fostering a supportive environment for growth.

Outside of work, I enjoy relaxing at home with my long-term partner and our two cats. I’m a fan of movies, reality TV, and true crime series, and I find great joy in caring for my houseplants. Tending to them is a soothing ritual for me, and watching them grow is a constant source of inspiration.

Thank you for visiting my page—I’m looking forward to connecting with you!

My Approach

Research has shown that a positive therapist/client relationship is the greatest indicator of therapeutic success. So, we will dedicate as much time as necessary to build trust and rapport. I’ve found that in my experience, some clients will open up within the first two sessions, whereas others may take months to let their guard down. I’m happy to work with you for however long that may take - I never want you to feel rushed or pressured.

My clients would describe me as a down-to-earth, genuine, and bubbly person. I do not put up any pretenses and I hope that I am able to help my clients feel comfortable and secure talking to me. As a client, you can expect to have a safe space of empathy and unconditional acceptance. Many of us only let down our guard when we're alone, but in the comfort of my office, you will not have to do this by yourself. You can find someone to genuinely listen, to accept you fully, and sit with you in the trauma - no matter how uncomfortable.

As your counselor, I will encourage you to prioritize yourself, your mental wellness, and your needs. I will help you, enable you, and empower you to take hold of your life. Even if you feel like you’re drowning, I will teach you to swim.

What if depression is, in fact, a form of grief - for our own lives not being as they should? What if it is a form of grief for the connections we have lost, yet still need?
